Dwayne Johnson is seemingly excited to play DC comics supervillain Black Adam on the silver screen. He recently revealed some interesting titbits about his character.

The actor hinted that his character Black Adam will not be limited to "Shazam" and fans might see him fight Batman or Superman in other films.

"It was all agreed that the worlds are all interconnected... One day you will see Black Adam go at it with Superman or Batman or any of the DC characters. But that said, there's a great independence to Black Adam from the DC world, allowing us to inject, not only viciousness, but also winking humour," he said in his interview with Total Film, according to Games Radar.

Black Adam has been conceptualised by Otto Binder & C. C. Beck. He is the foe of Captain Marvel/Shazam and also challenges the latter's associates. Black Adam gets corrupted after gaining power and overthrows the pharaoh of Egypt in the wake to rule the country. His costume bears resemblance to Captain America's costume. It is black in colour with gold detailing.

Johnson also threw light on his character Black Adam in the film "Shazam." He said that during the course of the film, Black Adam will turn into an "anti-hero." He added that his character's transition is "well written in the script."

"As we know, Black Adam started out as a slave. When he's given the powers, he utilized them. Then in the wake of his powers, tragedy strikes, which turns his sentiment and tone in terms of psychology," he said.

"Shazam" is set to release in 2019. Johnson is the only cast member of the film who has been confirmed. It is yet not known who will direct the film.
