New Delhi, June 28 (ANI): The Delhi University Academic Council on Saturday held a meeting to discuss the further course of action, a day after the DU VC announced scrapping of the controversial FYUP programme. The Academic Council of the varsity today passed a resolution to implement the three-year undergraduate programme. Eight of the 90 members opposed the resolution tabled by the Council, saying the Delhi University 'didn't hold discussions'. The resolution will now be tabled in the meeting of the Executive Council. Delhi University yesterday decided to scrap the four-year under graduate programme (FYUP) after UGC mounted pressure to roll it back. The standoff between the UGC and DU had resulted in an inordinate delay in the admission procedure.
