"Dragon Ball Super," the popular anime TV show from Toei Animation, aired episode 46 titled "Vegeta Disappears?! The Threat of Duplicated Vegeta!" on June 5, exclusively on Japanese Fuji TV.

After the end of the Champa saga in episode 41, which saw Champa's and Beerus' teams squaring off in a multiverse tournament between Universe 6 and Universe 7, the episodes that have followed the saga have been fillers until the next Saga begins.

In episode 44, we had seen how Vegeta and Jaco had landed on the Planet Potaufeu to search for Goten and Trunks who had come there on Monaka's delivery vehicle. Both the Saiyan kids are captured by Grill, the henchman of the big green aliens. Vegeta comes to the rescue but Grill spills a purple sludge that brings out a purple copy of Vegeta, as the real Vegeta is getting weaker and fading away.

Episode 45 witnessed the powerful nature of Vegeta's purple copy, Goten and Trunks fuse to form Gotenks, further pushing themselves to Super Saiyan 3 but the purple Vegeta is a powerful opponent. Goku senses trouble and uses Instant Transmisssion to teleport to Planet Potaufeu. Goku has to defeat purple copy of Vegeta if he has to save the real Vegeta, who's fading away.

Meanwhile, episode 46 that was aired on June 5 takes us back to Planet Potaufeu, where Goku fights the purple copy of Vegeta if he has to save original Vegeta before time runs out.

The original Vegeta gets impatient when he sees Goku and their opponent, the purple copy of Vegeta, still in their base form, but sadly he cannot help as he has now become ghost-like, reported Attack of the Fanboy in its review.

Goku realises he has less time in his hands and powers up to Super Saiyan Blue form, but to the surprise of both Goku and Vegeta, the purple copy of Vegeta is able to power up to a similar blue form.

The old man, who Goten and Trunks were trying to save, asks the original Vegeta to put on a pacifier, thus giving him more time before he disappears. The old man also reveals of a weak spot in the purple copy of Vegeta. He says they need to target the original purple sludge.

So while Goku takes on the purple copy of Vegeta, the remaining chase the purple sludge. They try to find it on Grill's body, but it had disappeared from there. They find out that it is attacking them instead. Touching it will make the attackers disappear, similar to what is happening to the original Vegeta.

Monaka is seen accidentally helping the group in their fight by stepping on the purple sludge as it tried to eat up Trunks and Vegeta trying to save him even though he is unable to give his ghost-like appearance.

The destruction of the purple sludge clears Goku for a Kamehameha wave on the purple copy of Vegeta. The Kamehameha destroys the purple copy of Vegeta, thus saving the life of the original Vegeta.

The funny part of the episode is Goku still believes that Monaka is a strong fighter, as he stamped out the purple sludge with such ease. The episode ends with Goten and Trunks being united with their mothers back on Earth. Planet Potaufeu saga ends here. The next saga is expected to be that of Future Trunks.

Meanwhile, Toei Animation shared the preview of episode 47, titled "SOS from the Future! A New Black Enemy Appears!"

The next episode reveals about a new Future Trunks saga that is gloomy future where after defeating Cell, the Earth was supposed to be in peace but a new Black enemy changes everything.
