To ensure sufficient buzz around his first international project (under the banner of Salman Khan Being Human Productions), superstar Salman Khan was in Toronto for the world premiere and music launch of "Dr. Cabbie", starring ex-lover Katrina Kaif's sister Isabel Kaif.

Ahead of the launch, the actor even took to Twitter to inform his fans about the event. "After 8yrs I'm in Toronto come celebrate with me&my #drcabbie team @ FREE live outdoor music launch SAT Aug 30 at #SilvercityBrampton @ 230P," he wrote.

Surprisingly, in a recent interview with India Today the actor said 'aggressive' promotions annoyed him. "And promotions are just getting 'cheaper'. People are going to any limits to promote their film. It is ridiculous. I feel the audience should see the promos and songs of the film and then decide if they want to watch the movie or not."

Khan, who has not overtly promoted any of his films, flew to Toronto to lend support to "Dr. Cabbie" cast and crew. This sudden unexplained interest sparks a few questions – does the actor still have feelings for Katrina? Or is he promoting it because it's his first international venture? Only time will tell.

A source close to the development had revealed to Hindustan Times that the launch and red carpet premiere of the film was on 30 and 31 August, respectively. According to reports, the event was a massive success as Khan was visiting the city after 10 long years. The entire cast of the film — Isable Kaif, Vinay Virmani, Kunal Nayyar, and Adrianne Palicki —were also present for the event.
