Mumbai/ New Delhi/ Chennai, Oct 04 (ANI): Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar defended decision of state-run television channel Doordarshan (DD) to broadcast speech of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat live on the occasion of Dussehra festival. Doordarshan for the first time carried Bhagwat address to the RSS members live on the 89th Foundation Day celebrations, where he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reacting on the same, CPI (M) leader Brinda Karat sought an apology from the I and B minister. Meanwhile, DMK leader TKS Elangovan said it could set a bad precedent. Congress leader Rashid Alvi criticised the move saying a group should not use a government channel to run its speech live.
