The release date of "Doctor Strange" may be a year away, but that doesn't stop the fans from going crazy over Benedict Cumberbatch's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Nepali fans of Cumberbatch and Marvel have been regularly posting videos and photos from the sets of the upcoming film, giving us some hints on what we can expect from it.

In all the posts, Cumberbatch, who is almost always clean-shaven, is seen sporting a beard, and his palms are covered in bandages. It is understandable "Doctor Strange" will show the origin story of the good doctor and his journey to becoming a popular superhero from of the Marvel Universe.

According to the comic books, Dr Stephen Strange is a brilliant neurosurgeon who is only interested in accumulating wealth. However, a car accident shatters the bones in his hands and renders him inept to conduct surgeries. Traumatised, Strange seeks the help of the Ancient One aka Earth's Sorcerer Supreme -- played by Tilda Swinton in the movie (male character in the comics).

The scenes shot in Nepal are presumably the time where Dr Strange looks for the Ancient One in the Himalayas. It is under her tutelage that Strange learns mystic arts. We have also seen photos of Chiwetel Ejiofor who plays Baron Mordo, the primary villain and Ancient One's disciple.

While theories about Doctor Strange's origin are abuzz, there is one prediction about the upcoming movie that has got all MCU fans excited -- the presence of Infinity Stone. Dr Strange of the comics had one in his possession and it is our assumption that Cumberbatch's version would have it too. Then, this would allow for the segue to "Avengers: Infinity War" to expand. It would also allow Strange understand what the stones are capable of, and even allow him to be prepared ahead of Thanos' attack.
