There are reports circulating on social media sites that Shah Rukh Khan has donated for a cause again. The Bollywood superstar has reportedly donated Rs 1 crore for the flood-hit victims of Chennai.

A press-release proclaimed to be of Red Chillies is doing the rounds on social media sites and this has paved way for the reports. The press release reads, "We are all deeply affected by the devastation wreaked on the city of Chennai by the fury of nature. At the same time, the resilience of the people of Chennai and the way in which the community has come together to help each other and face this adversity is commendable and makes us all feel proud." 

It adds, "On behalf of Red Chillies Entertainment and Team Dilwale, please accept out contribution of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund. We appreciate the massive effort undertaken by your government and everyone in Chennai, to deal with this calamity and we hope our contribution will help in a small way."

However, there is no official confirmation from the actor or his production house yet. Nonetheless, the King Khan had prayed for the citizens of Chennai over the unprecedented rain leading to deadly flood. He had tweeted, "May God look after all our brothers & sisters in Chennai. Nature's fury is strong may we all have the strength to fight it. Insha Allah."

Meanwhile, there are also reports doing the rounds that Shah Rukh Khan would donate his first day box office collection of his forthcoming Hindi movie "Dilwale". The film, which features Kajol in the female lead role, will release on 18 December worldwide. It is directed by Rohit Shetty.

Meanwhile, donations from film actors are coming in from all the industries. Rajinikanth, Allu Arjun, Suriya, Junior NTR and a host of big names have contributed for the flood victims.
