Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishita of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" recently met with an accident on the sets while shooting a promo for the show.
According to a report in the Times of India, the actress was shooting for an action sequence where she had to hit a glass window, which would then shatter. But unfortunately, the safety glass placed behind the front glass broke when Divyanka hit it and the shards fell on Tripathi's back. Even the costume she was wearing tore and the actress started bleeding.
"The safety glass broke when I banged against the front glass and pieces fell on my back and all over. My sari was torn and I was bleeding. I rushed to the doctor but am better now," Tripathi told the daily.
This is not the first time the actress has met with an accident. Last year, Tripathi fractured her foot while rehearsing for an award show and was bound to a wheelchair for around a couple of months.
On the show, Ishita, who was jailed for murdering Chaddha, will be bailed out in the upcoming episodes. Soon after this, viewers will witness the lead pair Raman (Karan Patel) and Ishita celebrating their third marriage anniversary together.
There were also rumours the show will witness a romantic track between real-life couple Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, who plays the role of ACP Abhishek on the show. However, Dahiya denied the rumours. "No. There is nothing like that to happen. I would completely deny it all. No such track is going to be introduced," the actor told Pink Villa.
