Madcap, brain-rot comedy, Welcome to the Jungle has finally hit theatres today. The film boasts a massive ensemble cast of 34 actors, including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Rajpal Yadav and many more.

Loaded with self-humour and meta references to films such as Awara Paagal Deewana, Hera Pheri, Tees Maar Khan and several others, the film is an out-and-out comedy. While some moviegoers have praised its comic timing and laugh-out-loud moments, others feel the film is overly long and that many of the jokes fail to land.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film banks heavily on nostalgia, meta references and its huge star cast. It also adds glamour with Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez, while reuniting Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon on screen after decades. Although Akshay and Raveena share limited screen time, they light up the screen whenever they appear together. Disha, meanwhile, looks stunning and adds to the film's glamour quotient.

The songs are foot-tapping and peppy. Among them, Kyun has become one of the biggest talking points.

With an age gap of more than 20 years, Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani's chemistry appears surprisingly sensuous on screen. While some viewers may feel Akshay looks noticeably older alongside Disha, the makers have cleverly cashed in on the ongoing rumours surrounding Disha and singer Talwiinder by giving him a special cameo in the film.

As Bollywood continues the trend of post-credit scenes teasing future franchise films, Welcome to the Jungle gives audiences another reason to stay back after the credits.

As soon as the interval slate appears, Akshay Kumar introduces the song Kyun through a recorded message, saying it couldn't find a place in the film and would therefore be played during the interval. The romantic track is picturised on Akshay and Disha, and has been written, composed and produced by Talwiinder. It is also available on YouTube.

The surprise appearance of Talwiinder alongside Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani has added to the excitement surrounding the song. Apart from Talwiinder, the film also features a special appearance by Urvashi Rautela.

For the past few months, rumours linking Disha Patani and Talwiinder have been making headlines. In an earlier interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the singer addressed the speculation, saying, "We are still discovering ourselves. Still figuring ourselves out. I would just like to leave it at that because if they're going to try to spread the rumours, I am going to let the rumours be rumours." He neither confirmed nor denied being in a relationship with Disha.
