You think of Diego Maradona playing club football in today's era, you think of clubs like Barcelona and Arsenal, the teams who play football the way it should be played.

Well, Maradona might have played for Barcelona during his near-peerless playing career, but it looks like the Argentine legend might be an Arsenal fan after all, at least when it comes to the English Premier League.

The 55-year-old controversial football star was pictured in a full Arsenal kit, posing for a photograph, which his daughter put up on Twitter on Monday.

Gianinna, who is also the mother of Sergio Aguero's son, said in the tweet, her father likes the "design" of the new Arsenal kit, with Maradona posing for a nice little picture.

Maradona has previously posed with Arsenal players and holding up a shirt of the club as well, way back in 2008, when he also mentioned why he thinks Arsene Wenger's men are one of the more likeable teams in club football, while revealing he just missed out on signing for the North London when he was just 19.

"I am a fan of Arsenal when I am in England," Maradona said back in 2008.

"When I was 19 they tried to buy me and another player from Argentinos Juniors, around the time Ricky Villa and Ossie Ardiles signed for Tottenham.

"But it didn't happen. I sometimes wonder what might have happened."

So do most of the Arsenal fans.
