Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar 2 is just a little over a month away from its release, and following the massive success of the first part, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the sequel and create buzz among fans.
Instagram feeds of avid users are flooded with reels featuring the film's viral songs. From the title track of Dhurandhar to the reimagined version of Rambha Ho, the music has struck a chord with audiences and enjoys a separate fan base altogether.
Among the several tracks doing the rounds online, one of Usha Uthup's most iconic songs from the 1981 film Armaan, Rambha Ho, has been recreated for Dhurandhar and has gone viral. The song has been reworked by Shashwat Sachdev and sung by Madhubanti Bagchi. However, in a recent interview, veteran singer Usha Uthup revealed that the makers did not approach her for her blessings before recreating the track.
Speaking to Radio Nasha, Usha shared that she came across the recreated version only after someone sent her a link. Recalling her first reaction, she said, "Somebody sent me the link. So I said, 'Wow! What is this! It's fabulous.' I'm not one of those people who feel bad that somebody else sang this. I'm very happy."

She further added, "For it to come back with such a bang is amazing. This proves what I always believed, that the song is bigger than the singer. I'm so grateful to God. It has been 40 years since Rambha Ho was released, and I have been singing it at my shows for decades. But for it to return with such impact is really special. Madhubanti has sung it beautifully."
Dhurandhar, which was released in theaters on December 5 last year, stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi, among others. Set in Karachi's Lyari, an area known for gang wars and violent turf battles, the Aditya Dhar directorial revolves around covert intelligence operations against the backdrop of major geopolitical and terror events such as the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
I don't believe in giving messages. I believe that if you are open minded enough, you will glean the message from the song that I sing: Usha Uthup on the song 'Ramba Ho'.

Meanwhile, the franchise is gearing up for its next chapter. The official Hindi teaser of Dhurandhar: The Revenge recently dropped, positioning the sequel as a high-stakes continuation that expands the espionage-driven universe. Opening with a blood-soaked action montage, the teaser highlights the psychological and physical transformation of Jaskirat Singh Rangi into spy Hamza Ali Mazari.
The second installment is scheduled to hit theaters on March 19 and will clash with Yash's pan-India film Toxic.
