Nivin Pauly has become one of the most bankable stars in Malayalam for delivering a good number of hits at the box office. The young star has always tried new looks and enacted different characters in each of his movies so far. The actor has recently sported a different avatar, and it is believed to be for his upcoming movie.

Nivin, who attended the wedding reception of his co-actor Siju Wilson on Sunday, May 28, was seen in a buzz cut look, apparently for Geetu Mohandas' next directorial venture, Moothon. It has to be noted that in the first-look poster of the movie, Nivin seemed unrecognisable initially. He is seen in a rugged appearance with earring and nose ring.

In Moothon, set against the backdrop of Lakshadweep, Nivin plays as Mullakoya, who is in a mission to find his brother. The bi-lingual movie, made in Malayalam and Tamil, also stars Shashank Arora in a significant role.

Meanwhile, the team of Moothon recently wrapped up its first schedule of shoot in Mumbai, and is expected to resume the next schedule in Lakshadweep soon. Geetu's husband and National Award winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi cranks the camera for the film, which also marks the Mollywood debut of Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is penning the Hindi dialogues for it. Thaikkudam Bridge-fame Govind Menon handles the music department of the much awaited movie.

Apart from Moothon, Nivin has a handful of projects lined up for the year, including his Premam co-actor Althaf's directorial venture Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela, his first straight Tamil movie Richie, Johnpaul George's next film, bankrolled by Sameer Thahir, director Shyamaprasad's Hey Jude opposite Tamil actress Trisha, filmmaker Prabhu Radhakrishnan's untitled project and Atlee's former associate Suryaa Balakumaran's movie.
