Dhurandhar is arguably one of the biggest hits of 2025. This year-end film came to the theatres and has been ruling over the box office ever since. Aditya Dhar, the director of the film, thanked his wife, actress Yami Gautam, in the credits of the film. Yami and Aditya are one of the most loved couples of B-town; unlike a lot of other celebrity couples, they are exceptionally low-key and very down to earth. They exude sheer couple goals, and fans are touched by their simplicity. Amidst the success of Dhurandhar, there are throwback reports of how Yami wanted to be a part of the film.
Before the Ranveer Singh starrer film had hit the floors, Yami had spoken to News18 Showsha about the film. She had expressed her anticipation for the film and had also revealed that when she read the script of Dhurandhar, she really wanted to be a part of it.
Yami had said, "When I read his next script, I told him that it was one of those rare moments when I wished I was a guy. The script is so brilliant. It's such an amazing world."

She was quick to add that both of them prefer to keep their personal and professional lives separate from one another.
The actress mentioned, "Regardless, I don't have that expectation. We respect that professional line. I don't think that line should be blurred. We're very clear about it." She further added, "If he feels that somebody else is a better fit for a part that he's writing, I would be absolutely fine with it. This understanding was there since the very beginning."
For those unversed, Yami and Aditya's love story began on the sets of Aditya's first directorial venture, Uri: The Surgical Strike, which starred Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. The two tied the knot away from the glitz and glamour of Bollywood, in a simple and intimate ceremony in 2021. In 2024, they welcomed a baby boy.
Coming back to Dhurandhar, the film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
