Looks like Meghan Markle's family troubles are getting bigger and stronger. From her father Thomas Markle to half-sister Samantha, everyone seems to be trying to capitalise the Duchess' royal status. And of course, whenever a family member makes a media appearance, a new controversy broke.

Amidst all these troubles and rumours, one person who never made any media appearance is Meghan's first husband Trevor Engelson. The film director-turned-producer has stayed mum on their relationship so far but the Duchess' sister Samantha is more than happy to speak on his behalf.

Meghan and Engelson tied the knot in 2011 after seven years of dating. However, the couple had a quiet divorce in 2013 citing irreconcilable differences. Interestingly, nobody is aware of the real reason behind the divorce but it has been reported that the Suit actress made the decision out of the blue and even sent her wedding and engagement rings back by registered post.

Now, Meghan's sister Samantha seems to be knowing the real reason behind the separation and she has claimed that Engelson was extremely unhappy with Meghan. Speaking to The Sun, she said, "He said he was devastated, that he felt like a piece of gum at the bottom of his shoe. He slammed Meg. He slammed Meg."

While there are reports that Engelson is planning a television comedy based on his real-life experiences, Samantha believes that the producer is staying away from media due to fear of a Hollywood backlash.

The rumoured project revolves around an American man who shares the custody of his child with his ex-wife who is now part of a British royal family. Well, that sure looks like a controversial plot, there is still no official confirmation on the project.

Samantha further added that the script would show the real face of Meghan and people will get to know the real reason behind their separation. With Meghan's family unwilling to back off, it looks like the Sussexes have a long battle ahead.
