Britney Spears wanted the royal family to attend her concert in the UK but sadly, they rejected her invite stating that they are all busy and will not be able to make it. But other publications think it's all just a made-up tale.

Britney is touring for performing her ninth concert Piece of Me. The singer is headed to the UK and apparently asked for specific guests to be among her audience. But, they allegedly did not want to be a part of this and declined her invite, an insider told Star Magazine.

"Britney had her assistant write notes to Buckingham and Kensington palaces requesting audiences with the newlyweds (Prince Harry and Meghan Markle), and Queen Elizabeth. Britney was shocked to receive a letter back from both palaces — not from the royals themselves — saying everyone was too busy to meet her," said the insider.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently on a trip and they too reportedly declined her invite. This doesn't say that the royals aren't a fan of Britney's songs. But they do have a lot of commitments ahead of them which Britney took with a pinch of salt.

The source continues, "Poor Britney didn't understand, she thought everyone wanted to meet her! She didn't realize royals had commitments."

Now, Gossipcop reports otherwise saying that the report has been concocted by HollywoodLife, and the whole allegation started with the article written by Star.

Britney and her sons had visited Buckingham Palace earlier this month just like any other tourist would. She posed for pictures and uploaded them on Instagram saying, "Throwback to exploring London with the boys! Can't wait to be back for #PieceOfMe next week! #TBT."

This could be one of the reasons why the story was made up.

Also, if Britney really wanted to meet the royals, then she would have asked her publicity team to handle it than give her assistants to send invitations.

Britney would request a meeting with the royals than ask them to attend the concert. All of the allegations reported by Hollywoodlife are "not true", a source close to the singer told Gosspicop.
