Did Ameesha Patel take a dig at Pooja Hegde for failure of Hrithik Roshan's 'Mohenjo Daro'?

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel apparently took a dig at Hrithik Roshan's co-star Pooja Hegde over the box office failure of "Mohenjo Daro." The actress compared her debut opposite Hrithik in "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai" with Pooja's in "Mohenjo Daro" and apparently mocked her.

Hrithik and Ameesha's first movie "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai" was a blockbuster. Both of them were new comers, but the audience had given thumbs up to the fresh pairing. However, Pooja's debut film "Mohenjo Daro" opposite Hrithik failed to make the expected impact at the box office.

Ameesha was talking about her on-screen pairing with Hrithik and how fans have been waiting for "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai 2." However, while talking about a possible sequel of "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai," looks like Ameesha took a jibe at the new actress.

"Of course I would want a sequel of 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', but more than anything, audience want a sequel to the film. Fans have been requesting me and Hrithik on social media to team up again for 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai 2.' Pooja Hegde had done a Dubsmash on a song from 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' and Hrithik too promoted the same," Ameesha told media.

"I am sorry that 'Mohenjo Daro' did not do well. Not all films can be successful with a newcomer. With the kind of love people have for me and Hrithik as an onscreen pair, 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai 2' will have a bumper opening if it's made. Like 'Gadar' will be incomplete without me, 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai 2' will also be incomplete without me," she added.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, "Mohenjo Daro" was one of the most anticipated movies of this year, but the film failed to impress, both the critics as well as the audience. In spite of being made on a huge budget, the film has bombed at the box office.
