Ranveer Durandhar is roaring strong and has broken all box-office records. The film has minted over Rs 1,000 crore in merely 20 days of its release. Despite not releasing in Gulf countries and amid severe propaganda claims, the film remains unstoppable, with people watching it twice and even thrice.
However, the film has had a huge impact on other movies released after Dhurandhar.
Dhurandhar was released on December 5, 2025, and following that, on December 12, 2025, Kapil Sharma's Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 hit the theatres, but tanked miserably at the box office. After this, Kartik–Ananya'sTu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri was also released this Friday.
Although Kartik–Ananya's film is doing only average business, Kapil Sharma's film was pulled down from theatres due to low occupancy and the lack of screens, as shows for Dhurandhar continued to increase.
Kapil Sharma's Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Is Set to Re-Release in January 2026!
Kapil's comedy sequel struggled to secure screens amid the continued dominance of Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, and the makers have now planned a re-release in January 2026.
In an official statement, the makers addressed the situation and confirmed their decision to bring the film back to theatres. "Even with limited screens, Kapil Sharma's Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 managed to make audiences laugh, entertain and relive the franchise's charm with its light-hearted comedy and situational humour. Keeping the ongoing excitement of the fans in mind, producer Mr Ratan Jain has decided to re-release the film once again in January 2026," the statement read.
Despite the challenges, the film opened with a collection of Rs 1.85 crore on its first day. According to Sacnilk, the comedy has so far earned Rs 12.31 crore at the Indian box office. The makers believe the re-release will give the film a better chance to connect with audiences in a less crowded release window. An official release date for the January 2026 re-run is expected to be announced soon.
On the very same day, the makers also dropped the poster of Dhurandhar 2, after the film crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark worldwide.

Dhurandhar 2 will be released in India on March 19, 2026, and in multiple languages. As reported by Taran Adarsh on X, the sequel will release simultaneously in all South Indian languages. Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam versions of the film will be available for fans from day one. This will not only guarantee a massive opening but also ensure that audiences across regions can enjoy the film equally.

The film will release alongside Yash's Toxic. Character posters of Yash's solo look and Kiara Advani's solo poster introducing her as Nadiya have already been dropped.
Fans are now demanding that Toxic be pushed to a later date.

And with Kapil Sharma's film also set for a re-release, many fans are unhappy, believing that the film lacks potential and that re-releasing it makes little sense.
