The 'Dhurandhar' fever has reached France. French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday surprised social media users by using the popular song Aari Aari from Aditya Dhar's upcoming film Dhurandhar in a video recapping Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to France.

The video, shared by Macron on X and Instagram, opens with the French President and PM Modi greeting each other with a handshake and a warm embrace. Set against the backdrop of the chartbuster track, the montage showcased key moments from Modi's visit and highlighted the strong personal rapport between the two leaders as well as the growing strategic partnership between India and France.

Responding to Macron's post, PM Modi wrote, "Nice to have met you in Nice," adding that the India-France partnership would continue to scale new heights.

The post quickly went viral, with many social media users taking note of Macron's choice of soundtrack. The use of Aari Aari, one of the most popular songs of the year, added a Bollywood touch to a high-profile diplomatic engagement and won praise from Indian users online.

The video came against the backdrop of extensive bilateral talks between Modi and Macron at the historic Villa Kerylos in Nice. The meeting marked the first engagement between the two leaders since India and France elevated their relationship to a 'Special Global Strategic Partnership' earlier this year.

One of the key outcomes of the visit was the joint inauguration of the Bharat Innovates initiative, aimed at connecting Indian startups and innovators with French and European investors. The two leaders also announced the creation of a Joint India-France AI Working Group and welcomed the increasing adoption of India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in France.

Following the talks, Macron hosted a luncheon in honour of Prime Minister Modi before both leaders proceeded to their next engagements.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Macron has used a song from Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar while posting about India.

In February, after concluding his three-day visit to India, the French President had shared a 43-second recap video featuring the song Na De Dil Pardesi Nu from the film. At the time, he captioned the post: "Thank you India!"

With Aari Aari now featuring in another Macron video, it appears that the French President has become an unlikely fan of the music from Dhurandhar.
