Ram Charan's Dhruva has ended its first week on a good note. The Telugu movie, which was released on December 9, has performed well at the many centres at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office in seven days.

The trade reports on internet claim that Dhruva has grossed over Rs 40 crore in its first week at the AP/T box office. The movie had earned Rs 28.5 crore (Rs 20.95 crore distributors' share) in the opening weekend and it has now added over Rs 12 crore to its total tally.

By the end of seven days, the distributors' share stands at Rs 29.82 crore. Some reports also claim that the gross collection has reached Rs 42 crore, although the makers are yet to reveal the official numbers.

After getting a good start, the collection of Dhruva remained solid in many centres on weekdays. The positive word-of-mouth has helped the movie to do impressive business on the weekdays, say trade experts. The movie should do well in the next couple of days in order to enter the profit zone for the distributors, predict trade experts.

Meanwhile, the business of Dhruva has slowed down in the US after reaching $1-million mark on Monday, December 12. But it is expected to improve in its second weekend.

Dhruva is an action-thriller in which Ram Charan and Arvind Swamy play the leads. Rakul Preet Singh is seen in the female lead. Surender Reddy has directed the flick, which is the remake of Jayam Ravi's Tamil-hit film Thani Oruvan.
