Hema Malini has revealed that Dharmendra's last wish was to see his family united. Veteran actor Dharmendra passed away in November 2025 at the age of 89. The whole nation was left mourning the great loss. However, it was his death that brought the whole Deol family together. Even though Hema Malini and Sunny Deol organised separate prayer meets for the actor, they were later seen together.

Esha and Ahana were spotted visiting Sunny and have been sharing amicable notes for one another on birthdays and film releases. Now, Hema Malini has said in an interview that it was Dharmendra's last wish to see the whole family "united". The 'Dream Girl of Bollywood' said that Dharmendra wanted her to spend as much time possible with the kids as possible.
Dharmendra's wish
"Dharam ji would always say, be with the kids as much as possible. Spend time with the children, with the family. He always said, be united with the family, that is very important in today's times, which doesn't really happen now. These days, kids go their separate ways," she told Hindi Rush.
Hema also praised Sunny and Bobby Deol. "This is exactly what he said, 'Be with the family. Be together with all of them. Work can keep happening, but family should be given utmost importance."

Praises Sunny, Bobby
Malini further spoke about Sunny and Bobby and said, "They are very sweet. Sunny is very nice. Bobby is very good. We are all always together. We don't do any publicity, but internally we are all good. We are all united. We are a very happy family."
Hema Malini had earlier clarified that despite what some people and media houses try to project, things are fine and amicable between Dharmendra's both families. She had said back then that they all have love and respect for one another which can't be marred by the false narratives floating about them.
