Superstar Dhanush has announced his next film under his home production Wunderbar films.

The film, titled as "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan", has Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead.

The film will be directed by Vignesh Sivan of "Podaa Podi" (2012) fame, which starred Silambarasan (Simbu) and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead.

Nayanthara is joining hands with Dhanush after a long gap of six years after "Yaaradi Nee Mohini" (2008) and this is the first time she is being part of Dhanush's production.

Vijay Sethupathi, who began his career as a background actor, later became one of the prominent faces of Tamil film industry. He was seen as Dhanush's best friend in the film "Pudhupettai" (2006). But it was in 2012, he had 3 major releases "Pizza", "Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom" and "Soodhu Kavvum", which were commercially successful films. These films helped him to receive many awards and accolades.

The film's music will be composed by Dhanush's favourite music director and young sensation Anirudh Ravichander, who had earlier composed music for the actor's previous productions like "3", "Ethir Neechal" and "Velaiyilla Pattathari".

The film, "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan" has been making news for more than a year. The director of the film, Vignesh Shivan announced the film in April 2013 as an urban flick, which was said to mark the acting debut of music composer Anirudh. Later, the composer chose not to do the film and there were reports of the film being shelved.

Later in November 2013, Gautham Menon announced the film as his production with Gautham Karthik and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead and on Vinayaga Chathurthi day (29 August), Dhanush announced the cast and crew of the film through his Twitter account.

The film's cinematography will be done by George C Williams, who is known for his cinematography in the film "Raja Rani". He is also working on the upcoming Tamil flick "Kaththi" starring Vijay.

Dhanush's production company is often known for nurturing fresh talents like Vijay Sethupathi, Anirudh and Durai Senthil.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is awaiting the release of his upcoming Hindi film "Shamithabh", jointly produced by Hope Productions, Amithabh Bachchan Corporation and Wunderbar Films.
