Latest rumours suggest that South Indian superstar Dhanush, who has also made a mark in Bollywood, will soon be seen in a Hollywood project.

Reports suggest that the "Shamitabh" star might play the lead role in popular French graphic novelist and filmmaker Marjane Satrapi's upcoming project.

The film is based on the novel, "The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe", which tells the story of a Fakir who travels from New Delhi to France.

The director revealed his plans to make a film based on the novel during the Cannes Film Festival. Satrapi has directed films like "Persepolis" and "Chicken with Plums" in the past.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is also awaiting the release of his upcoming Tamil project "Maari", which is set to hit the theatres this summer. Helmed by Balaji Mohan, the film has Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead role.

Dhanush also has three other films in his kitty, including "Velaiyilla Pattathari 2", Tamil version of "Soodhadi", and a Bollywood film by Anand L Rai.
