Destiny's in-game character, Xur Agent of the Nine, will be back in the reckoning during 2-4 January weekend. This will be Xur's first emergence in 2015. Xur appears only during the weekends.

Xur is the merchant within the Tower, who comes with new exotic weapons, armours and other rare goods for players who have saved Strange Coins and/or Motes of Light.

Note: Xur can be found in the Tower Hangar, standing in the back of the lounge area at the bottom of the stairs.

The last time we met Xur, many players were offline due to attacks on PSN and Xbox Live, but players who have extra Strange Coins and/or Motes of Light will get the chance to spend it to buy some new exotic items, new firearms, new armor and upgrades.

This weekend, Xur will be having a better collection of items when compared to what he had after Christmas. Players will see MK .44 Stand Asides, Hunters and Warlocks will get new Dark Below items and they will also find an improved version of Gjallarhorn, reported iDigitalTimes.

Destiny DLC Plans Leaked

Rumours doing the rounds suggest that Bungie has more DLC plans for Destiny. It recently released its first expansion, The Dark Below. And it has already announced its next DLC, which will be rolling out on 10 March, 2015.

A post on Reddit suggests a bigger DLC, Comet: Plague of Darkness and couple of smaller ones Vex and Forge of Gods.

Comet: Plague of Darkness - The post claims that the DLC will have 12 new missions, 4 new Strikes, a new Public Event, a new Patrol, a new Raid, with three subclasses, two new weapon types, new base level, and a new location called Hive Ship. It is also rumoured that this will be a physical disc released unlike other expansions. It also speaks of the possibility of a combined release of the game and all the future DLCs.

Vex and Forge of Gods will be smaller DLCs that will follow the release of Comet: Plague of Darkness. It is most likely that they will be similar o The Dark Below and House of Wolves in their content and release.

Rumours also claim that the release date for the Comet: Plague of Darkness DLC is September 2015.
