Bungie has announced new Valentine's Day event that starts on 9 February.Twitter

Destiny is back with its regular set of events following the New Year break. Bungie announced its "first ever" Valentine's Day event that will be beginning from 9 February.

Bungie said in its Destiny Weekly update post that the upcoming February update will have a new 2v2 Crucible mode called Crimson Doubles. This event will feature new gameplay and mechanics and lets players play with a partner or more in the Crucible.

The Tower will be decked in red, in celebration of Valentine's Day. The February update will also be bringing some improvement and fixes to Bungie.

Bungie also announced the return of Iron Banner and released time and dates for this limited-time Crucible event. It noted that this will have a Rift mode.

  • Begins: Tuesday, 26 January, 10AM PST
  • Ends: Tuesday, 2 February, 12AM PST

Lord Saladin will be offering items that will be helpful for players, who will be able to earn some powerful items like Fusion Rifles, Scout Rifles, Titan Armor, Hunter Armor, Warlock Armor and PlayStation Armor (timed exclusive).
