Newly appointed Delhi Daredevils skipper JP Duminy is looking forward to rebuilding his squad ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season eight, that is set to start from Wednesday.

The other teams like Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab have more or less decided on their line-ups, so the Daredevils too will need to pull their socks up before the start of the tournament.

He exclaimed during an interview with the official IPL website, "I am pretty excited with the calibre of players we have this season. We have to figure out how we go about first up as it's a little disadvantage for us trying to figure out combination. It's exciting to find fresh faces with new energy."

When he was asked about the inclusion of senior veterans like Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan in the team he said that it was a huge bonus for the side and their experience would come in handy. He further added, "Those two players will offer lot in terms of experience; in my opinion they are good enough to field anywhere. Most players, including myself, will feed off their knowledge."

The Daredevils also have a good bowling line-up with Zaheer and India's best bowler from the recently concluded World Cup, Mohammed Shami, starting off proceedings with the new ball. They also have Albie Morkel, Imran Tahir, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Angelo Mathews and Amit Mishra as other bowling options. Altogether, Delhi does have a good side and they have to rise to the occasion unlike last year when they were not up to the mark. Delhi Daredevils will take on the mighty Chennai Super Kings in their first match on Thursday.
