Ex-couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have maintained a cordial relationship after their much-reported split.

"No matter how much we move on in our lives and no matter how comfortable we keep telling people we are working with each other, the question will keep coming up. But the point is, it was, is and will always be a very special equation that we share. Something that one can't explain and describe in too many words," Deepika told PTI recently.

Interestingly, RK also has had nice words to say about his leading lady and has often heaped praises on her work.

"I have known Deepika for six long years. She has surpassed my expectations as an actor. I assumed Deepika to act in a certain way, but given her performance in Cocktail and now in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, I must say that she has surprised me in more ways than one," he told Bollywood Life on the sidelines of a "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" promotional event.

Now, the question remains if all the camaraderie and bonding between these two will affect Ranbir's girlfriend Katrina Kaif. While it's well known that the two women don't share a good relationahip.

The "Fitoor" star has never had any strong opinion about the reigning queen of Bollywood. Early in 2014, in an interview with DNA, she said how she has always been cordial with industry people but never really had any equation with Deepika.

On the other hand, the "Piku" actress couldn't stop herself from praising Katrina's performance in "Dhoom 3". "She was fantastic. She's one of the most hard-working people I've ever known," she said, according to NDTV.

In other news, Ranbir Kapoor has been busy promoting "Bombay Velvet" alongside Anushka Sharma, while Deepika has been soaking up the praises on her stellar performance in the Shoojit Sircar's directorial. On the other hand, Katrina has been killing it at the Cannes Film Festival 2015.
