The X-Men franchise is on a roll as Fox is busy with three projects from the comic line. But the studio has the highest expectations from Ryan Reynolds starrer Deadpool 2. After the mega-successful first movie, Deadpool 2 will look to replicate the same kind of success in the summer of 2018.

While the movie will introduce Cable, Deadpool's friend, the sequel will also focus on Deadpool and Domino's relationship. The comic creator of Deadpool Rob Liefeld alerted fans to keep an eye out for their chemistry in the movie.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, the creator expressed his excitement for the upcoming movie. He said, "The whole thing is the chemistry. Chemistry is gonna dictate how the audience receives all of their relationships. But Zazie and Ryan, everyone better get ready. I'm not sure we're ready for that chemistry. It could not be more exciting."

He also shared he couldn't contain his excitement when he found out Josh Brolin was cast as the Cable. "When it became official, I bet the neighborhood watch groups got nervous because I've never yelled so loud and jumped so high as when Josh Brolin was cast. I could not be more thrilled, and it's the same thing with Zazie [Beetz]. She's perfect."

Liefeld owes the film's popularity to Fox, the 90s kids and the constant use of Deadpool in video games, comics and other multi-media formats. "The '90s have been underserved. Marvel has really been servicing the original legacy of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby, but Fox has the keys to the '90s — and finally, they've ignited it. When comics sold the most, these books (Deadpool) were at the top. You had the largest population ever consuming them, and these were the best sellers."

The creator also touched upon the new Deadpool adult cartoon announced recently. The TV show will star Atlanta's Donald Glover. He said, "As far as my creative input: zero. You don't tell Donald Glover your ideas. He's his own genius. If you were gonna tell me 10 years ago, Ryan Reynolds is gonna spearhead the Deadpool film movement and make him a global icon, and Donald Glover is gonna take over on TV and make an adult cartoon, I would've been like, are you kidding me? It's an embarrassment of creative riches."

Not only is everyone waiting for Deadpool 2, releasing on June 1, 2018, fans cannot wait to watch Childish Gambino play the X-Men character on TV.
