Day 1 box office collection: 'Bruce Lee - The Fighter' (BLTF) beats 'Attarintiki Daaredi', 'Aagadu' record

Srinu Vaitla's "Bruce Lee - The Fighter" (BLTF) has got a superb opening at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box office and it has managed to beat the first day collection record of "Attarintiki Daaredi" and "Aagadu".

"Bruce Lee - The Fighter" enjoyed a lot of of hype and promotion, which helped it record good amount of advance booking for its opening day. The movie received good response in the premiere shows on Thursday night and the benefit shows in early morning on Friday. Ticket price for these shows were high.

Released in 1,000 cinema halls on Friday, "Bruce Lee - The Fighter" became the biggest release for Ram Charan in both the states, beating the record of "Govindudu Andarivadele", which was released in 750+ theatres. The movie registered an average of 90% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes in all areas. The film ran to packed houses in several centres across these states.

As per early estimates, "Bruce Lee - The Fighter" grossed approximately Rs 16.55 crore at the (AP/T) box office on the first day. The movie is estimated to have fetched Rs 12.66 crore to its distributors. The film has become the biggest opener for Ram Charan and Srinu Vaitla and it has beat "Govindudu Andarivadele" and "Aagadu", which have fetched Rs 8.55 crore and Rs 9.74 crore respectively for its distributors on their opening day.

"Bruce Lee - The Fighter" has turned the biggest opener for a Mega family hero, beating the record of "Attarintiki Daredi", which has collected a share of Rs 10.75 crore on the first day. It has also become the second all-time biggest opener Telugu movie after "Baahubali" and "Srimanthudu".
