Television actor Karanvir Bohra will now entertain audience on silver screen with the remake of Shah Rukh Khan's film.

Karanvir, who was last seen in Zee TV's "Qubool Hai", has confirmed that he is stepping into Shah Rukh's shoes. He also said that he will co-produce the film, in which he is playing the lead role.

"I can't reveal anything about the story at the moment, but I can tell you that TV director Lalit Mohan took a break from shows for a year to concentrate on the preproduction of this film and a team of writers worked with him on the script," Karanvir told Mumbai Mirror.

The film will go on floors this December and will be shot in Mumbai and Manali.

"We roll in the first week of December. I am really nervous about the film. We are currently in the process of casting the other leads," he added further.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the makers wanted to buy the title "Janam", which is Mahesh Bhatt's directorial movie released in 1985. However, Mahesh Bhatt refused to give permission, as he was unsure of "Darr" remake.

"Darr", a romantic thriller, is one of the classic films of Indian cinema. The film features Shah Rukh as an obsessive lover, Juhi Chawla as the lead actress and Sunny Deol as her husband.
