Dangal Chinese box office: Aamir Khan's movie scores big on opening day; likely to break PK record

The Nitesh Tiwari-directed film is now moving closer to the Rs 100 crore mark at the Chinese box office. It is expected to achieve the feat in the next two days. It will break the record set by Aamir's previous film PK, which grossed Rs 100 crore in the Chinese market, thereby becoming the highest grossing Indian film in the overseas market.

Despite some reluctance from Wanda cinemas – China's biggest cinema operator – in screening the film in most of its theatres, Dangal remains unstoppable. On its first day itself, Dangal did a fabulous business of Rs 13.19 crore in China, which is a massive figure for an Indian film at an overseas market.

The worldwide gross total earning of Dangal now stands at Rs 802.68 crore. With this, the film has surpassed the Rs 800 crore mark for its worldwide box office collection.
