The makers of Arjun Rampal-starrer Daddy have released the first look of the movie. Based on the life of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli, Daddy features Arjun in the lead role.
The first look of Daddy shows young Arun Gawli's real face and then Arjun appears in the look of the gangster. Arjun is seen in a rowdy avatar as he sports a beard and a different kind of hairstyle, much like Gawli did in his youth.
Earlier, the makers had released an audio that had Gawli's real voice when he expressed his desire to come out of his criminal life and serve the people.
Directed by Ashim Ahluwali, the film Daddy will apparently showcase the controversial life of Gawli, from being one of the most wanted criminals to becoming a politician in Maharashtra.
He was convicted of murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment in August 2012. He was found guilty of murdering a Shiv Sena leader.
This is the first time Arjun will be seen playing a real-life character and the first look definitely is impressive. Apart from Daddy, Arjun has another upcoming movie Kahaani 2 that is slated to be released on December 2. The actor plays a cop in the mystery thriller.
Arjun was last seen in Rock On 2 that did not have much impact at the box office. Check the first look and the teaser of Daddy here:
