Five shoe-string budget Telugu movies, "Criminals", "Hora Hori", "Mahi Aunty 2", "Swimming Pool" and "The Ice", will be released this week.

It is a suspense thriller which has been directed by Osho Tulasi Ram. Produced by Srinivas and Sharma, the film features Ravi Babu, Priyanka Kothari, Uttej, Surya, Ravi Varma and others in important roles. Mantra Anand has composed music for the songs and background score.

Hora Hori

Written and directed by Teja, "Hora Hori" is a romantic entertainer starring Dileep and Daksha in the leads. Produced by KL Damodar Prasad, the film features Koduri Kalyan's soundtracks and background score. Among the five films, this one has got huge hype and lot of expectations.

Swimming Pool

It is a romance drama starring Akhil Karthik, Priya Vashishta and Brahmin in lead roles. The movie has been directed by Manohar Chimmani and produced by Arun Kumar under the banner Sri Sri Creations. Pradeep Chandra has scored music for the movie.

"Criminals", "Hora Hori" and "Swimming Pool" feature some known faces. They have good amount of hype and promotion. Their promos have been successful in garnering attention. They are expected to be released in more than 100 cinema halls each on 11 September.

The makers of "Mahi Aunty 2" and "The Ice" have not promoted their movies. There is hardly any information about their cast and crew. These two movies also did not see any hype and promotion and they may not be released in large number of theatres. So they are surely going to be dud at the box office.

However, last week's releases "Bhale Bhale Magadivoy" and "Dynamite" are doing well at the box office. Some old releases such as "Baahubali the Beginning" and "Srimanthudu" are still driving the audience crazy. It should be seen whether the new releases "Criminals", "Hora Hori" and "Swimming Pool" will be able to pip them at the box office.
