In yet another shameful incident, a class X student was gang-raped by three men in Delhi's Sarojini Nagar on Wednesday.
Police have caught hold of one of the accused, Pradeep, and are on the lookout for the other two.
The 15-year-old girl was on her way to Ashok Nagar School when her cousin Pradeep kidnapped her with the aid of his friends - Rahul and Amit.
She was taken to an isolated flat in Sarojini Nagar and the three men took turns in raping her.
"It is alleged that she was kidnapped by her 26-year-old cousin Pradeep and his friends Rahul and Amit from near her school in a car," a police officer told Deccan Herald.
The girl managed to escape in an auto and later confided in her father about the incident.
A medical examination on the girl at Lal Bahadur Shahstri Hospital established sexual assault.
Police have booked the accused under charges of kidnapping and gang-rape. The accused will also be tried under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Authorities are tracking the calls placed on Rahul and Amit's cellphones in a bid to nab them.
In a separate incident, two students were held for molesting their 27-year-old teacher in a bus in northwest Delhi.
