Chinese smartphone-maker Coolpad is reportedly planning to launch two phones later this week in India.

The company has started sending invites to media outlets for an event to unveil Note 3S and Mega 3, scheduled on November 30.

There is no official word on the specifications of the devices, but they are said to have some minor upgrades over their predecessors—Coolpad Note 3 and Mega 2.5, respectively.

Both the new smartphones are expected to sport 5.5-inch HD screen, Android Marshmallow OS powered by MediaTek processor with 3GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage.

Other standard features they are expected to come with are 4G-LTE network support, VoLTE (Voice-over-LTE), dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

As far as pricing is concerned, Coolpad Note 3S and Mega 3 are expected to be priced under Rs 10,000 and be made available exclusively on Amazon India.

Once launched, both Coolpad Note 3S and Mega 3 will be competing with the popular Xiaomi Redmi 3S series, Moto E3 Power, Lenovo K5 Plus, Moto G4 Play and LeEco Le 1S, among others.

In a related development, Coolpad rival Lenovo too is launching a new smartphone, K6 Power, in India this week on November 29.

As the name suggests, the K6 Power's highlight is its battery. It comes with a massive 4,000mAh, which is enough to keep the phone running for close to two days under mixed usage and even more, if used shrewdly.
