Rahul Gandhi's reappearance into the political scene after a 56-day break seems to have helped restore public faith in Congress -- to an extent. The party was almost wiped out after a massive rout in the general elections last year. The voters' disapproval of the Congress was evident when BJP won a landslide and Congress was reduced to minority.

However, the picture seems to be turning on its head ever since the Modi government introduced the controversial Land Bill.

On Sunday, people come out in large numbers for Rahul's Kisan-Khet-Mazdoor rally in Delhi. Appreciation has been pouring for the Gandhi scion for standing in support of the weaker sections of the society unlike Modi, whose government has faced flaks for introducing amendments to the Land Acquisition Bill that is likely to affect the farmers.

Twitter posts with hash-tag 'KisaanVirodhiNarendraModi' are a testimony to the twitterati support to Congress and the growing dislike for Modi and his government.

Although Congress supporters flooded Twitter with posts praising the party, a few even lashed out at them by posting memes and tweets to mocking the Gandhi family. Some have even defended the Modi government.
