LG had originally unveiled Snapdragon 400 powered G Pad 2 with 8.1-inch screen in South Korea last week, but at that time there was no official word on whether it will be released in international markets or stay put in the company's home market. Now, the company will launch international G Pad 2 variant with bigger 10.1-inch display and faster Snapdragon 800 series SoC (System on Chip).
"The LG G Pad II 10.1 was developed in response to consumers' feedback and optimized for multimedia consumption." said Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company. "Customers asked for a large display, bigger battery and faster performance all without raising the price. The G Pad II delivers on all counts."
It sports 10.1 inch WUXGA display and run on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS backed by 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 5mp camera on the rear-side, 2mp front snapper and a 7400 mAh battery.
LG G Pad 2 10.1 Availability Details:
The company has confirmed that both LTE and Wi-Fi only LG G Pad 2 10.1 will be put on display at IFA 2015 in Germany, and then released in North America, Europe and Asia. But, the details regarding specific release time-frame and price of the device is still under wraps. They are expected to be revealed during local launch programmes in the coming days.
