The International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy 2013 is all set to begin on 6 June in England with India taking on South Africa in the opening game at Cardiff, Wales.

The cricketing extravaganza, considered as second in importance only to Cricket World Cup in importance, will conclude on 23 June. 

Champions Trophy is a One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament played every two years and features top eight nations in the ICC ODI Rankings. The countries that will participate this year are Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.

Pakistan and England are the only countries participating in this year's tournament that have not lifted the trophy.

Misbah-ul-Haq: He is the captain of the team. The 39-year-old right-hand batsman has scored 3386 runs from 106 innings at an average of 42.32 in ODI. He has 23 half centuries to his credit.

Shoaib Malik: He is an allrouncder - right-hand batsman and right-arm offbreak bowler. The 31-year-old has scored 5465 runs from 190 innings at an average of 33.12, scoring seven centuries and 31 half centuries. He has also taken 140 wickets from 169 innings at an economy of 4.54.

Mohammad Hafeez: He is 32 years of age and is an allrounder - right-hand batsman and right-arm offbreak bowler. He has scored 3152 runs from 118 innings at an average of 27.89, scoring five centuries and 16 half centuries. He has also taken 100 wickets from 110 innings at an economy of 4.02.

Kamran Akmal: The 31-year-old wicketkeeper cum right-hand batsman has scored 3145 runs in 132 innings at an average of 26.65 in ODI. He has scored five centuries and 10 half centuries.

Imran Farhat: He is a left-hand batsman. The 31-year-old has scored 1715 runs from 56 innings at an average of 31.75, and has one century and 13 half centuries to his credit. He has also taken six wickets from eight innings at an economy of 5.68.

Nasir Jamshed: The 23-year-old left-hand batsman has scored 1040 runs from 28 innings at an average of 41.60. He has scored three centuries and six half centuries so far.

Asad Shafiq: The 27-year-old middle-order right-hand batsman has scored 1032 runs from 38 innings at an average of 29.48. He has eight half centuries in his kitty.

Abdur Rehman: He is a 33 year old slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He has taken 25 wickets from 26 innings at an economy of 4.26.

Asad Ali: He is a right-arm medium-fast. The 24-year-old has taken one wicket from the only ODI he has played.

Ehsan Adil: He is a right-arm fast bowler and aged 20. He has taken one wicket from two innings he has played so far.

Junaid Khan: The 23-year-old left-arm fast bowler has taken 39 wickets from 24 innings at economy of 4.87.

Mohammad Irfan: He, 30, is a left-arm medium-fast bowler and has taken 16 wickets from 11 innings at an economy of 5.02.

Saeed Ajmal: The 35-year-old right-arm offbreak spinner has taken 128 wickets from 80 innings at an economy of 4.15.

Umar Amin: He is aged 23 and is a left-hand batsman. He has scored 37 runs from four innings at an average of 9.25.

Wahab Riaz: The 27-year-old left-arm fast-medium bowler has taken 43 wickets from 28 innings and has an economy of 5.65.
