The competition between "Comedy Nights with Kapil" and "Mad In India" is set to get intense with the former employing 'Bua Wedding' tactic to pitch against the premiere of Grover's show this Sunday.
While Kapil's desperate bachelorette Pinky Bua (aunt) finally tying the knot on the show might be worth watching, it can hardly be ignored that the popular show's move coincides with the premiere of Sunil Grover's comedy show "Mad in India" on the rival channel.
Bua will get hitched to the character of Golden Bhai played by Razzak Khan. The character is that off a gangster and will have Razzak as a 'gharjamai'.
The episode promises quite a show as Rahul Mahajan, Roshni Chopra, Sargun Mehta, Karan Wahi and several others will be seen performing on the popular show. Adding to the celebrations, would be the appearance of "Shaadi ke Side Effects" pair, Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan as guests.
On the other hand, Sunil Grover as Chutki will kickstart his new comedy show "Mad in India" on Star Plus. Sunil's continuation of the eccentric Punjabi girl act in the show is slated to be the most hyped and the promos have aptly created a positive buzz.
With Sunil, the show will have funnyman Manish Paul, actress Shweta Tiwari and a host of other stars to tickle the funny bone. A lavish set has been prepared and renowned names are expected to appear on the show as guests. Rumour has it that Yoga Guru Ramdev will be the first celebrity guest on the show, followed by Karishma Kapoor, Govinda, Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh in the coming days.
While much has been said on Kapil Sharma being pitted with Sunil Grover, the television ratings on 16 February and days to come will decide which show wins the viewership race.
