Cocktail 2 teaser: Sexy Kriti Sanon turns up heat, dances with Rashmika Mandanna, Shahid Kapoor

The wait is over! One of the most-awaited films of 2026, the Cocktail sequel, is just months away. Cocktail 2's first-look posters, along with the release date, were dropped last week, promising fans that the first teaser would be unveiled on the big screen alongside Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The teaser was released on Wednesday evening during the screening of Dhurandhar 2.

The original Cocktail starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. Now, filmmaker Homi Adajania is back with the sequel, Cocktail 2, stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna.

The first teaser gives a sneak peek into the world of Shahid, Rashmika, and Kriti. In the clip, Shahid is seen dancing effortlessly, with his quirky, foot-tapping moves wowing fans as he is seemingly ageing backwards. Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna are also dancing in sexy beachwear. The clip features a song where the trio are enjoying themselves to the fullest.

Cocktail 2 reminds fans of the original film, where Deepika, Saif, and Diana were also dancing on the beach. Many speculate that Rashmika will essay Diana Penty's role, Kriti will take on Deepika's, and Shahid will step into Saif's shoes.

However, netizens weren't entirely impressed. Some feel that if the storyline is too similar to the original, it will mostly cater to Gen Z and Gen Alpha, who can simply watch the prequel for the vibe. Many noted that a similar storyline might not attract the masses.

Reacting to the Cocktail 2 teaser, one social media user wrote, "Music sucks. Hopefully, there are better songs in the movie." Another commented, "Shahid is still doing these chapri dances in 2026... All his peers are doing mature roles in content-driven movies! He should focus on making reels only."

A third user said, "No match to the original cast, but can't wait nonetheless." A fourth wrote, "Do we even need a sequel of Cocktail?"

The first poster features Kriti, chilling in a car and giving major Deepika Padukone vibes. The next poster shows Shahid candidly looking at the camera, while Rashmika excitedly captures a scenic view on her phone.

Cocktail 2 releases in theatres on June 19, a week after Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Diljit Dosanjh's Main Vaapas Aaunga.
