All eyes are on the fresh pairing of Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kriti Sanon, which is set for a theatrical release on June 19. Several rumours have surfaced on social media, suggesting that something is not right between the trio.
Adding fuel to the chatter, a few days ago at a music launch event in Mumbai, while posing for the paparazzi, Shahid was seen placing his hand on Rashmika's shoulder. She quickly moved back and shrugged him off, sparking allegations that she was uncomfortable after her wedding to Vijay Deverakonda. Rashmika's gesture did not go down well with Shahid's fans, who called her out for being rude and not reciprocating the gesture.
After the said incident, neither Rashmika nor Shahid publicly addressed the viral clip at the time.
However, on Friday, the trio came together to promote Cocktail 2, and while posing together, Shahid took a playful dig at Rashmika over the incident. He moved back and shrugged his arms, imitating Rashmika, leaving Kriti in splits. Rashmika took it sportingly and responded with a smile. She could also be heard telling him that she did not mean anything by it, making it clear that there was no awkwardness between the two despite the claims on social media.
Rashmika Mandanna refused to hold Shahid Kapoor, but here Kriti Sanon is holding him so tightly that she doesnβt seem ready to let go.

Cocktail song controversy
Recently, the makers of Cocktail 2 released their latest song, Mashooqa. Netizens alleged that the tune was copied from a 1993 Italian track, Se So Arrubate A Nonna. Later, Pritam addressed these allegations on social media and expressed his displeasure.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote, "Every single one of my song releases comes with a set of self-appointed music detectives who have created a new genre called 'imaginary similarities'. Same people, same 'inspired by' thesis. Boss, at this point, you are my unpaid PR team. I just want to say, guys, NOT NICE."
Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 is the sequel to the 2012 film Cocktail, which featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty in lead roles.
