The annual CMT Music Awards will honour some of the best releases in country music we saw last year. The ceremony will be broadcast on CMT on June 8, 2016, at 8 p.m, (ET), after which videos from the show will be available for streaming on the channel's website. It will be preceded by a red carpet show that will be available for live streaming on the website from 6 p.m. (ET) the same day.

Television personality Erin Andrews and footballer JJ Watts will host the show. While Andrews will be co-hosting the ceremony for the second time this year, it will be Watts' first time hosting the event.

Among the nominees, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rett lead the tally with three nominations each. They are followed closely by Blake Shelton, Sam Hunt and Cam with two nominations each.

One of the biggest attractions of the award ceremony will be star-studded performances, from the likes of Keith Urban, Shelton, Oak Ridge Boys, Cheap Trick, Underwood, Stapleton, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. Pharrell Williams and Little Big Town will perform a new song from Little Big Town's upcoming album "Wanderlust." Also, Dierks Bentley and Elle King are scheduled to debut their new song "Different For Girls."

Various categories of awards in the ceremony will be presented by actors such as Chad Michael Murray, Vince Vaughn and Joey Lauren Adams, and country artistes like Chris Janson, Cole Swindell and Charles Kelly.
