A 27-year-old Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable deployed at the Chennai airport shot himself dead on Thursday afternoon, reports said.
The CISF constable, identified as Pulak Rajbongshi from Assam, used his service rifle to kill himself at around 1.45 pm in the toilet of the airport.
The incident caused a minor panic at the airport. The reason for him taking such an extreme step is not known yet, police said.
