It looks like rapper Chris Brown has tried too hard to impress his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, with whom he is reportedly trying to get back to after an ugly break-up in 2009.

He attended Rihanna's Halloween party in West Hollywood dressed up like an Arab terrorist but he received flaks from several quarters for the stunt.

"Ain't nobody F--king wit my clique!!! #ohb," he tweeted, linking it to a photo in Instagram that has him and four other friends in the getup of a terrorist.

The 23-year-old rapper and his four other friends were seen with fake beards, turbans, guns, long robs and bullet belts in the photo.

"F**k you I was a fan until now no wonder everybody hates you disrespectin people religions is beyond disgusting !!! Go to hell p***y a** women better," wrote one on the photo. "It's not just a costume. How would you feel if some white chick painted herself black and said, 'I'm dressing up as a black chick for Halloween?' Of course it's only funny if it's not happening to you," said another.

But Chris Brown's mother and fans think that it's just for fun.

"HALLOWEEN IS FOR FUN NOTHING MORE THAN JUST FUN. GET A LIFE PLEASE," Chris' mother Joyce Hawkins tweeted.

"Why are people making it bigger then what it is? Hahaha ohhhh gosh Halloween is for fun if you take offense to it then you're doing the most," wrote one. "Yo whoever doesnt think this is funny #SlapYourself," wrote another.

Chris Brown, who was arrested in 2009 for assaulting his then girlfriend Rihanna at a pre-Grammy Awards party, is said to be rekindling his relationship with her. They were even caught kissing at Chris' website launch party recently.
