Ram Charan's eye injury
"We were told that there were chances that he could have lost his eye if it hit him a little lower. He got lucky and got an injury on his eyebrow, I was relieved that nothing happened to my son," he added. Chiranjeevi also recalled his own dangerous action sequence during the shoot of one of his films – Gunda. He recalled how his father was left worried back then.

"That moment reminded me of the shooting of the movie Gunda. My father was terrified when I was performing an action sequence under a moving train. At the time, I told him, 'To entertain the audience, one has to take such risks'," he recalled. Chiranjeevi also spoke about how now he feels the same way as his father did for Ram Charan.
Peddi backlash
Along with the applause, 'Peddi' had also faced backlash over objectification of Janhvi Kapoor's role in the film. Such intense was the criticism that even the director had to speak out. "I had not anticipated that the scenes would be perceived so negatively by audiences," Buchi Babu Sana had told SCREEN.
