Mercedes' Nico Rosberg continued his impressive run in the Formula One 2016 season, winning the Chinese Grand Prix with ridiculous ease. The German has now won the first three races of the season, and further increased his lead to the top with 50 points.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Daniil Kvyat finished second and third, respectively, after some impressive racing at the Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday.

Though Rosberg might have started in pole position, Daniel Ricciardo was out of the blocks brilliantly, edging past Rosberg in the first lap itself. But it was huge disappointment for Ricciardo as he punctured his tyre in the fourth, and Rosberg took crucial lead.

Defending champion Hamilton was fighting to come on the front of the pack, and the driver gradually came to 12th place in the 13th lap. He gradually fought his way back and finished on seventh place in an entertaining race. The Mercedes driver should be pleased to accumulate points after starting the race from the back grid, which could be crucial in the drivers' championship later during the season.

However, Ricciardo, who was pegged at the back after the unfortunate puncture in the third lap, came back and battled it out against his team mate, Kvyat for the third position. Ricciardo will rue his puncture, which eventually cost him a podium finish with Kvyat finishing third.

Rosberg won the race well ahead of Vettel, who showed some great composure and class to help his team collect some important points, finishing second in the race. His Ferrari team mate, Kimi Raikkonen finished fifth.

With this victory, Rosberg enjoy a healthy lead in the drivers' championship with a lead of 17 points over Hamilton, who is on 33 points at present. Ricciardo lies at third place with 24 points.
