Bilaspur, Nov 23 (ANI): Congress party staged a protest in Chhattisgarh to demand resignation of Chief Minister Raman Singh and State Health Minister Amar Agarwal after more than a dozen women died at a mass sterilisation camp. Last week at least 15 women died at a government-run family planning camp in central state, where 83 women were sterilised. Meanwhile, Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should intervene and order an investigation while Singh should also be asked to step down. Congress members walked the streets holding banners and shouted slogans as a retaliation to the incident. Meanwhile, Congress unit of Chhattisgarh President Bhupesh Baghel said an FIR should be filed against Agarwal for the incident. Another Congress leader Satyanarayan Sharma also called for a thorough probe, calling it one of the unfortunate incidents.
