As Chennai residents' lives are returning to normalcy after being hit by the worst disaster ever, many celebrities in India have been donating large sums of money to help the flood victims.
Adding to the league of actors, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has donated Rs 15 lakh to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
"The cheque of Rs.15 lakh has been handed over to Nadigar Sangam, which will in turn pass it to the relief fund," Haasan's manager told IANS.
Sources close to Mollywood actors Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan said that the father-son duo has also donated Rs 5 lakh towards the Chennai fund. Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports suggest that Mohanlal and Manju Warrier have also contributed money for the relief operations in Chennai.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, Allu Arjun and many other celebs have also donated to Chennai relief funds.
While SRK has donated Rs 1 crore, Hrithik Roshan, AR Rahman, Allu Arjun's family, Suriya and Karthi have given Rs 25 lakh, followed by Hansika Motwani and Prabhas, who gave Rs 15 lakh towards the relief fund.
Rajinikanth, Junior NTR, Mahesh Babu, Sri Divya, Vikram, Prem have also reportedly donated Rs 10 lakh.
