Ranveer Singh starrer Duramdar has shattered all box-office records and is still garnering accolades for the power-packed performances of the cast. Aditya Dhar has set a benchmark for what films should look like, and with that, all of Bollywood is facing the heat. Filmmakers will now have to amp up their skills and deliver films that are just as engaging and enticing as Dhuramdar, not necessarily in the same genre, but with similarly crisp yet detailed storytelling.
On Tuesday, the teaser of Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani, was unveiled at 11 a.m. Backed by Dharma Productions, the film promises an emotional and passionate take on young love, set against the backdrop of college life.
The film revolves around Aarav (Lakshya) and Chandni (Ananya), two engineering students who fall in love, but not without facing several challenges.
The teaser begins with Aarav and Chandni getting cosy and sharing intimate moments—from bike kisses to lip locks in bed and intense, passionate scenes. The couple ignites romance in every frame. However, it quickly shifts in tone, hinting at emotional turbulence, conflicts, and heartbreak.
One of the standout lines from the teaser, "Pyaar mein thoda paagal hona hi padta hai," reflects the film's theme, love that is intense, unpredictable, and all-consuming.
Announcing the release, Dharma Productions shared the teaser and wrote, "Not every first love gets a second chance. Come witness Aarav & Chandni's road to love! Chand Mera Dil – TEASER OUT NOW! In cinemas 22nd May, worldwide."
Netizens weren't too happy with the teaser; many called the lip-lock and kissing scenes excessive and unnecessary. Some compared it to Saiyaara, while others alleged that Chand Mera Dil feels like an amalgamation of Kabir Singh and similar love stories.

The chemistry between Ananya Panday and Lakshya, according to many viewers, falls flat.
The film's music is composed by Sachin–Jigar, whose work enhances the emotional layers of the story. Interestingly, the title Chand Mera Dil is inspired by the iconic Mohammed Rafi song, adding a touch of nostalgia to this modern romance.
The film is slated for a theatrical release on May 22, 2026.
