The Champions League heads into its last matchday of the group stages, with a few more positions and standings still to be decided. Twelve of the 16 teams that will move into the next round have been confirmed, but apart from deciding the remaining four there is also the no-small matter of deciding which team will take top place in their respective group.

That could prove to be just as crucial as qualifying for the last 16, because if a team gets a favourable draw in the round of 16, you never know, they could end up building momentum and making it to the final of the Champions League.

One of the teams desperate to finish at the top will be Arsenal, but they threw away their chance at finishing in first place in Group A by only managing a draw against PSG, in the last matchday, at home. Paris Saint-Germain now have the upper hand, owing to a better head-to-head and all they need to do is match Arsenal's result on Tuesday to go through as winners of Group A.

Arsenal travel to Switzerland to face FC Basel, who are in a battle with Ludogorets, who face PSG in Paris, for the Europa League spot.

One of the tightest group is Group B, with Napoli, Besiktas and Benfica all battling it out for a place in the last 16. No team has qualified so far, and while Dynamo Kyiv are out, any of the other three could seal the two places that are up for grabs.

There is no such drama to come in Group C, with Barcelona already confirmed as group winners and Manchester City joining them in the knockout rounds as the second-placed team. Borussia Monchengladbach will go into the Europa League with Celtic's engagements in Europe for this season over.

Group D is also quite cut and dry, with Atletico Madrid, as the group winners, going through with Bayern Munich, even if third place will be decided on matchday six, when PSV Eindhoven host FC Rostov.

Wednesday's matches will see Group E, Group F, Group G and Group H come into play.

Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen have qualified from Group E, while Tottenham must avoid defeat to CSKA Moscow to move into the Europa League.

Top spot is what is at stake when Real Madrid host Borussia Dortmund in Group F, with the European champions needing a win to pip the Bundesliga side to top place. Legia Warsaw need to do likewise against Sporting Lisbon, if they are to take third.

Leicester City are sitting pretty in Group G, with a place in the knockouts and top place confirmed, while FC Porto and FC Copenhagen will battle it out for second place. Porto host Leicester, with Copenhagen visiting already-eliminated Club Brugge.

The final group is nicely poised. Juventus, who play their final match of the group stages against Dinamo Zagreb in Turin, are through to the last 16, but haven't confirmed top spot. Sevilla are in pole position to join them, and will do so as long as they avoid a two goal or more defeat to Lyon.
