Preview

Most of the big teams have qualified as winners from their respective groups, and with it increasing the possibility of being handed a kind draw.

However, for the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City, there will be a few sweat glands going into overdrive, having managed to finish only as runners-up.

Arsenal, in particular, know what it feels like to be handed a difficult draw, having faced the likes of Barcelona and defending champions Bayern Munich, the team that everyone fears, in recent seasons in the last 16.

Another tricky encounter awaits for the Gunners, with one of Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain or Atletico Madrid set to be their opponents.

A group winner will be drawn against a runner-up, with the teams that played in the same group not to be drawn together while the same holds true for sides from the same country.

So, there will be no Manchester United vs Manchester City encounter in the last 16, but an Arsenal vs Real Madrid, City vs Barcelona or Milan vs Manchester United tie is a real possibility.

The Europa League last 32 draw also takes place with the added attraction of some of the Champions League teams like Juventus, Ajax Napoli and FC Porto, moving down to the second-tier European competition.

Tottenham were one of the most impressive sides in the Europa League group stages, winning every single one of their matches, and Andre Villas-Boas, after seeing his side thumped 5-0 by Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Sunday, will be hoping for a kind draw, as will every single manager at every club, of course - Spurs can possibly meet the likes of Juventus and Ajax in the last 32.
